Then it becomes a hotmail clone, to be used to sign up at websites that require address that you would rather not give your permanent one to. I agree, it's free, but it is not the cure to cancer.

well, I've not contributed for a while, so iguess I am a lurker...but when I saw this thread I did share what I had..and will share any more invites if I get anymore.
I can't say whether google changed the frequency they are giving out invites, but I can give my experience. Once I got a gmail account it took 5 days to get any invites. The first batch was 6 for each account I had (2), then the next time I rec'd 1 invite for each account. I am hoping to get a...
