TM-AC1900 with RT-Asus AC68U firmware reverted to T-Mobile firmware!

Well, this just happened to me and I don't know if I have the time/patience to go through all this again. EDIT: I should mention, I was not using the iOS app to update. I was using chrome from a wired desktop. It was the same thing. Said to manually reboot and when I did, it was T-mobile again...

Good Android Box - Kodi

I'm a big fan of the Chromebox units running OpenElec/LibreElec. Lightning fast, no issues playing 1080p bluray rips with full TrueHD/DTSHD audio (unlike may of the lower priced units). If you set them up to dual boot with Chrome OS, you can get Netflix and other streaming sites.

Fractal Design R4 vs R5

R5 has better implementation for water cooling radiators as well. The top vents on the R4 are too close to the motherboard to really fit a radiator+fans. They are offset on the R5 to give more room.

How "used" is a HDD with 25,000 hours but 25 power-on cycles?

FYI, those Hitachi were rated 1-million hours MTBF. I wouldn't worry. I have a pair of them myself, bought refurbed. Been using for more than a year in my NAS. Troublefree.

Question about mounting an AIO water cooling radiator

The Jet-Flow fans with that Nepton are very loud when spinning at higher speeds. However, they are fairly quiet when at low speed. The Nepton has such amazing cooling capability, you don't need them spinning much above minimum speeds. Assuming you have the fans hooked directly to PWM CPU fan...

Please recommend a quiet low profile CPU cooler to replace Intel stock one.

Which "old" SSD should I keep?

Ironically, I ran Crystal Disk Mark and AS SSD on the PNY (sandforce) and it is miserably slow at writes (talking 8MB/s). I guess I had noticed some problems with the overall speed of the system it was in shortly before I replaced it. Looks like RMA time. Decision made.

99% sure its Sandforce. I'll check it tonight. It is not the one with flames on the cover. I dunno. I think the SF2281 problems were mostly early on and firmware related. I've had several now since ~2013 and never had a problem with one. I have a Kingston in my laptop that's been going strong...
