Oh yeah, this laptop will be mainly used for school/internet/word processing stuff and some moderate Photoshopping...most I'll be doing is working with a few 6MP images simeltaneously.

Help me spend my money :D

600 dollar budget ;) The video card will make do for now, my current HD is pretty much full and my comp. lags when editing huge files in Photoshop. I'll be updating the video card sometime in the future.

So I have a LCD module...

...a Samsung LTM150XH-L04 to be exact. I know I need an inverter, interface card, herosie cable and backlight cable to make it work. My question is now where can I get these parts? Also, once I get everything I should be able to just plug and go correct?

I just checked the CF database, pretty slow write times for this card, I'm probably going to save up and buy a Lexar 32x WA 1GB instead.

comments? suggestions? advice? should I buy an LCD now or wait and upgrade my core system at a later date?

Contrast ratios mean nothing and 250cd/m2 is more than enough for brigthness...700 nits is insane. 1800FP response time is 30ms though :(.

Best Speakers around $50 Range

Ditch the speakers and get some good headphones instead like Grado SR-60s. They'll sound much better than cheapie 50 dollar speakers.
