Hi everybody!
We was needing to update anti virus on this old win 98 puter ( intel P3 500mhz).
Norton 2003 is getting a lil bit of a pain.
What do you all recomend?

Well you were probably more tight on your first guess..
The problem amounted to a windows crash..but in order to reboot I had to enter the RAID Bios and Deleat the array. (running RAID 0) .. Then windows was able to reinstall just fine.
A fine article! While people like me might get started in crunching to "support the cause", we we tend to forget that by getting cought up in the race. The article made me sit back and put things back into perspective.
I think I may have found the cause of some of my OC problems .

I can back up what renethx reports about the NB temps..Mine runs near room temp but then again the CPU cooler is able to blow accross the NB on the left of it and the memory to the right .
I thought a 20 work unit cash was a little much but I did it any way. Now after applying a few tricks i learned here this lil AMD winnie blowing through them rather quickly and now I wonder if 20 units will be enough.

Thanks for all that info. For a little bit I was sure it was going to work. I'm quite sure that max stable speed for my mem is going to be 216. I'll have more to report after i do some playing around thanks to your link to the "Quick and dirty Guide"!
