Hi. I have invested a great deal of time and money on my rig, and I am starting to freak out at the BSOD's I've been getting. Initially, I was getting a truck load of them (along with regular program crashes), but I had upgraded my ram from 1GB CAS 3 Kingston RAM to some quality OCZ 2GB RAM...

On a side note, Painman, is there a benefit to operating DDR 500 with no OC? I was trying to figure out if I should get Corsair DDR 400 or OCZ DDR 500. I read that "good" DDR 500 operates at 2.5-3-3-8 @ DDR 400, where as "good" DDR 400 runs at 2-3-2-6. By the way I know OCZ is not at the top...

Thanks for your reply Painman. Unfortunatly I can't seem to find G.Skill anywhere in my city. I had initially looked around for it since so many people recommended it here, but alas I can't seem to get a hold of it. I think NCIX.com should have it (newegg doesn't ship to Canada -- blast!)...

Power Consumption Question

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing also. Perhaps I will swap the TNT2 with the 9800, perhaps not to save power, but just so I can use the 9800 in another machine later on.

What is a GOOD FREE ANTI-VIRUS

NAV only lasts a year, then you have to buy the same product again...over and over and over again. And to top it all off, I have only ever needed to stop 2 or 3 viruses over the last of 5 years. I love spending cash on things year after year that are used only marginally ;)
