Help finding new HD TV

we opted for a 50 inch plasma at 720p over everything else and so far i can say that i love it and it looks better at my house than any of the better name brands or tv's did in the store. I got an LG 50 inch plasma. Hopefully it stays running and i dont need to use the 400 dollar 4 year...

Monster HDMI Cables

Thanks to all who replied to this post. I just bought a 50 inch plasma and entered the hidef wars. It gave me the knowledge i needed to buy the cables i could afford. Two thumbs up!

Question on HDMI Cables

Are these the same HDMI cables they sell at magnolia sells for 200-300 freakin dollars? And oon comcasts video "intro to hd" (not that i really think they know much) they say to just use Avi cables isnt that false for true hd? And yes i do have an hd box, got it for the DVR.

Need Opinion on LG TV

Just bought the 50 ince 720p plasma Lg. The 50PC5D from LG was much less than every comparable brand that they had at BB for a 50 inch. We picked it up for 1499. The women are putting the desk together so ill get back to you on how much i like/ dislike it lol. In store the picture was pretty...

How much did you pay for your automobile?

2002 Volvo S60 Blue book was 13,500 ish paid 11,240. Sticker when new: 28450. bought it with 68000 miiles. Cost me under 200 to register this AND my 6400 dollar 98 vulcan classic motorcycle that had 16000 miles on it when i bought it. New it was worth 10,500 blue book when bought was around 7k

avg cost of wedding gift?

50 for someone you kind of know, 100 or more depending how close you actually are. Real friends always have an idea if your in financial straights too, keep that in mind. I always think that a thoughtful gift means more to me from friends than any amount of money. Maybe im just a simple man.

AVG or AntiVir?

well im happy that im part of a minority finally! lol, anywho i just downloaded AVG and so far so good. My wife and her friend chuck have been using it for months, in chucks case longer, and theyve had great luck. But i had been using Norton until today. I am nervous about deleting norton...

What are the consequences of insufficient powersupply for a videocard?

Id bite the bullet and upgrade the whole system if i were you. Thats what im doing next time around. I got the nice video card, then came the psu, then the memory......it gets expensive! lol, i shouldve just bit the bullet and upgraded to dual core or 64 or something, in the long run it costs...

This is the real statement i had a problem with. Doesnt this discussion MAKE the subject subjective? Just the fact that we have opinions on both sides make it a subjective arguement, end of story.

My 17 " crt died so i picked up a 19" lcd and i absoloutely loved it(dcl/lcd 19" 75 refresh but only 1280x1024 rez and a decent response time but not the best) and i absoloutly loved it. I could adjust the brightness pretty well and got Wow running well on it. Then my buddy was getting rid of...
