Desktop can see wireless network but wont' connect?

I'l have to check the IP when I get off work. But to answer your last question, the modem that the cable company gave me originally acted as both a modem and wireless router all in one (which had horrible wifi performance). In order for me to use my own netgear router I had to call the...

Desktop can see wireless network but wont' connect?

I've been trying to figure this out but I think I'm at a brick wall. I have a desktop in the room adjacent to the router with a D-Link Xtreme N Desktop PCI Express Adapter (DWA-556) on a machine running Win 7 Home Premium 64. The router is a Netgear WNDR-3700. The problem is that when the...

    Suggesetions for adding SATA Controller?

I recently ran out of SATA ports on my Asus P6T Deluxe (Ver 1) after connecting a new SSD. Here's what I'm currently running off SATA: 2xSSD, 3XHDD, 1XBD-RW and I had to disconnect the DVD burner. I would like to be able to have my DVD burning reconnected and also be able to add more HDD/SSD...

Starcraft 2 performance issues after OC

CPU temps at 67. I'll do a test for GPU temps , but I doubt they're too high as the GPU fan didn't go to highspeed mode.

Starcraft 2 performance issues after OC

I've been experiencing strange performance issues with SC2 after I did an OC to my CPU. When there's many units on the screen, the system seems to hang for a bit, or stutters for anywhere from 5 - 60 seconds until the game becomes responsive again. The OC on my 920 C0 is from stock to 3.38...

Is my PSU enough to handle an OC?

Whew. Thanks for the help - saved me $300 as I was thinking of pulling the trigger on the Corsair AX-1200 (overkill, but I thought I might as well spend the extra $100 and save to hassle of having to keep re-doing the cables.)

Is my PSU enough to handle an OC?

I originally had my system OC'ed to 3.38GHz, but then I added a bunch of extra stuff and to be safe, I set it back to factory settings. Now I'm not sure if the PSU can handle the new stuff I added with an OC. (added BD Burner, 2 HDD, 1 SSD, 2 120mm fans) Here's my current build: i7 920...

    Random Reboots - PSU Problem?

I turned off the automatic restart option and it didn't reboot last night. I'll keep monitoring it over the next week or so, as the problem doesn't happen everyday. Everytime it reboots, I'm not actually sitting in front of the computer. I also checked the event log, and it showed the last...

    Random Reboots - PSU Problem?

HD 4870 1G I'll also check on the Automatic Restart option - I've never changed that before, so it should be on by default.

    Random Reboots - PSU Problem?

I recently added a new HDD, SSD, and BD burner into my computer. I'm experiencing random reboots every now and then, and I'm trying to rule out the PSU as the culprit. Here's my system: i7 920 (Stock Speeds) 3x2GB DDR3 1333 3 HDD 7200 RPM 1 Intel SSD 5 Case Fans (All 120mm. 4 Case Fans...

    AHCI Problems!

Drivers for the MB? No.. should I be doing that? EDIT: Hmm... I'm looking at the P6T Deluxe downloads page on the Asus site and I don't see any drivers.... which drivers are you talking about?

    AHCI Problems!

Boot priority is set to SDD, then DVD Drive. I tried putting in my Windows 7 into the DVD Drive and it won't load, so I'm guessing it's not even getting far enough to even attempt to boot anything. Also, when I switched back to IDE after a CMOS reset, the SSD boots fine.

    AHCI Problems!

Sorry for my ignorance, but what does MBR mean? It looks like I have a similar problem to this, however I did not update BIOS: http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?board_id=1&model=P6T+Deluxe&id=20090803233721500&page=1&SLanguage=en-us Also, being the newb that I am, is it possible for...

    AHCI Problems!

Thanks for the quick reply. Are you thinking that the problems I'm having is simply due to switching IDE to AHCI after Windows is already installed? If that's so, I'm trying to figure out why I can't even get into BIOS? I'm also trying to figure out if I'm changing the settings correctly...
