Need help reallocating drives

OK, I've got that figured out. What can I do now? Should I buy a new hard drive?, or can I change the drive alloccations?

I just put together a new system, an Intel Q9400 on a Gigabyte EP 45-UD3P. I also included a multiple slot card reader for downloading pictures. When I installed Windows XP Pro It skipped over the 500 Gig SATA hard drive and labeled the card reader drives as (C:) through (H:). How do I fix...

Should I get SP3?

I bought some on sale parts from a store and built this........ AMD 64 X2 Black Edition, 500 W PSU, 2 Gigs Corsair XMS 6400, EVGA GeForce 9800 GT 512MB, 500GB Western Digital HDD, DVD and even a floppy drive on an Asus M2N-SLI (Nforce 560 chipset). I have XP pro SP2. Should I upgrade to SP3...

What's going on?

Once again thanks for the info, I think I'm going to spend the extra bucks because I can get the CPU so cheap. I'm looking at the Abit IP-35 Pro due to the good reviews from others.

What's going on?

I jusr finished building a system. I was at a computer store (Fry's) getting software and noticed that the Intel Q6600's are being sold at $189!! The sale ends at the store closing 4/1/08. Should I jump on this? I've never seen a quad core that cheap before.

Help with old version of XP

Thanks nweaver, I called Microsoft and they said to just install it like you suggested. Do you think I should even attept to install such an old version and download the newer service packs or just shell out the bucks and try the old software on a newer version?

GeForce 8600GT or 7950GT ?

I made a mistake about the 512MB. It is a 256MB for the same price of the 8600. I have access to a store that is trying to sell off some BFG 7950's. The 512MB version are about $100 more than the 256 MB cards. The store is trying to make space for newer cards coming out.

GeForce 8600GT or 7950GT ?

I have a computer I am putting together for video editing. I've got a chance to ger a GeForce 7950GT at 512MB for the same price as a GeForce 8600GT at 256MB. The current video software uses Windows XP not Vista. I'm wondering if direct 10 is worth going with a less powerful card for now?

Are the new Intel P4's worth the wait?

OK, I did not know that the chip is for newer chipset boards. Lonyo suggest that I go with a quad core. Now I'm finding out that at the end of the month (July 22nd) the price on tha quad core Q6600 is going down to be close to that of the E6700! Is this true? I'm looking into the bios and...

Are the new Intel P4's worth the wait?

Thanks for the suggestion. The 975X can not run at 1333 FSB, but for $186 the E6750 is still a great chioce. If the chip can run at 1066FSB I'm happy with that. As for the "P4" name, it's an old habit when talking about Intel chips.
