$69.99 in Phoenix. I got a Thorton chip--running the XP installer as we speak. Great timing, as my old ECS mobo (from a previous Fry's deal) crapped out on Thursday.

Now that I've seen the thing, though, I find myself trying to justify buying it. :o My current monitor (Compaq P90) has started flipping out very briefly every now and then, so I'm wondering if it might die soon, in which case I'd have to buy a new one sooner. In the meantime, I could buy this...

Well, 25ms is only 40 cycles per second, so it seems like you would see ghosting with any game running faster than 40 FPS. Not a problem for DVDs, though, which only run at 24 or 30FPS. Or am I missing something?

I went to my local Costco this evening to pick up the coupon and saw that they had a bunch of these out on the floor already, at the $489 price. Can I buy the thing tomorrow and then go back on Friday for a price adjustment?
