Dual monitor question (widescreen with normal)

Thanks for the prompt and great feedback. Ideally I'd like the same size monitor height wise. My roommate has problems with wasted space using a dual monitor setup with his laptop, 19 inch regular with his laptop which is smaller, not sure by how much. So I will be looking into 22" sizes...

SOLVED: 8600GT or 7900GT

I've got a 7950gt which i'm not sure what the difference is between the 7900gt. Works fantastic. I didn't want the 8600 because of the "double stacked" design. I would have to smash up my northbridge fan to get it to fit.

Sorry to hear that Bryan. My bios was all up to date before I changed. I just reflashed it with the same version and all seems to be working beautifully. SUCH a step up from that 3000+ Cron, I probably won't overclock for a bit. It's fast enough right now and I don't want to void any...

Opteron 180 not performing

Well then, just flashed the BIOS with AsusUPDATE and everything seems to be working delightfully. For future reference, do I always have to flash the BIOS after I throw in a new CPU?

Chipset Fan Help Install

I figured it out. I really hated those a-pins. I couldn't get them to get through the whole too easily. It's a fan/heatsink. It was just a replacement for the old crappy one that ASUS thought was good.... The left one is the new one. odd... not working, well here...

Chipset Fan Help Install

I'm not really sure how to replace the chipset fan. I have an asus a8n-e mobo. I called up for a replacement fan for the chainsaw they sent me. Do I need to remove the motherboard to get the new one in? It appears as though there are clips that can only go one way. Thanks, I'll need some...

Asus A8N-E chipset fan: video/audio clip

Sorry if this is resurrecting a dead post. However, I have the Venice 3000+ and this mobo. It booted fine and didn't have to upgrade the BIOS. This fan is like a chainsaw though....I'm contacting their support now.
