Which TV Tuner card should I get?

Forgot to add, would prefer hardware encoding to take the load off of the CPU. Im not that picky as long as it has digital/HD capabilities and has hardware encoding.

Which TV Tuner card should I get?

NTSC, Digital would be nice, so would a remote. I use cable, no need for antenna. Timeshifting is not important to me. Recording is another feature I would like to try out.

I have no idea whats causing it. It happens to both XP boxes at home, so its most likely something with XP. I do have a home network.

Long pause during XP boot-up

I have an annoying issue when I boot my computer, where after the windows desktop first appears, but before any icons are loaded, it just sits there for a minute or two. Not frozen, I can still move my mouse and everything, but no hard drive activity for nearly two minutes. What is it and how...

Monitor making creaking noises?

Is it a big ol' CRT? If so then thats normal. Yea, it is like an old house, expanding and contracting to the changing temperatures within the monitor and room.

doh! I just realized the link was for regular PCI, but no matter. Ill find another store that carries the PCIE 1x version. The 1800 looks interesting. Thanks for that.

Getting a TV Tuner.

How to install SATA drivers if the hardware isnt installed yet.

I've just put together my new system and ive transfered my hard drive from my old system to the new one. However if I try to boot ether from XP or Vista, I get a blue screen with the same stop code. Before I took my old system apart, I tried installing my SATA drivers in advance, but it refused...

Need opinion on build.

Lots of valuable advice, thanks guys! When I opted for the AC F 7, I already considered getting a 50mm fan for the northbridge chip as well as case fans to take care of cooling for the whole case. I think I forgot to mention that 50mm fan. Is the AC F 7 really that noisy?
