Quick Ram Question

Why not get anther cheap G.skill set and turn down the timings to 4-4-4-12? Then you will have your previous 2Gb + another 2Gb at 4-4-4-12.

ASUS Rampage

If your going to CF its the board you want...and yes the two PCIe is a price factor, it's just like buying a 680i 790i etc...then there are other things like OCing capability and the 1600FSB also little things like 2xLan ports, extra things you wont find in a vanilla board.

Also make sure onboard audio is enabled in the BIOS, it will be under Advanced>>Onboard Devices Configuration

Need MB/CPU recommendation for new build

If you can't wait get a Q6600 + Scythe Katana 2 CPU Cooler + P5Q PRO and overclock it, when the prices drop on the Q9xxx series replace the Q6600 if it is not providing the horsepower you need. I personally run the P5Q PRO and is a solid MB, last board was ASUS P5K PRO with a Q6600, their boards...

Speaking of new Ram sinks, theres a guy that made a custom set at XS that he now is selling thru petras, very well made and a sleek look...they screw on so you can use ceramic thermal paste. look for his thread his name is (iandh)

It depends on the cpu you plan to run...most likely your only going to need ddr2-667
