Beyond Radeon 3870

I am looking for the best bang for the buck.. I play in 1680x1050.. I'd like to play with some anti aliasing on w/o it killing my card.. 4770 the card to get right now? 100 bones is a nice price point :)

Avira detecting cerberusinstall.exe as virus

Do you have some sort of potential unsafe applications option selected in avira? I've had avira get a lot of false positives on print drivers on a network share, and other in house applications.

How would you handle this

Every time a guy I work with takes his thumb drive to a local university it gets infected, and he takes his machine back home and nod32 detects the Injector trojan. Should I send him, and notify him? I hate to get someone in trouble but I think it may be best to let them know their Symantec is...

2x or even 4x at 1680x1050 really makes my card crawl.. As soon as I disable AA even with 16x AF and high textures I'll hit 60-90 fps and its very playable with minimial lag.. Anti Aiasing enabled however just kills the card.. This normal you guys think? I bet a 4870 would and CPU upgrade would...

How does mywebsearch get installed?

We had Symantec let through AV360 variants.. First thing I did was check the computers local admin account, and it did not have the user there.. The way it gets on there is through the web browser.. Before the current System Admin staff here the old regime had disabled Windows Updates completly...

How does mywebsearch get installed?

Anymore it does not take local admin rights to install half the junk you run into online.. AV2009/360/ variants do not need local admin to hop on a machine. lol @ not installing security updates for the OS and browsers.. That's like building a house without windows or doors.
