CPU-Z and vista??

Vista works fine for me with CPU-Z. It also shows 6x multiplier but that's because when idle my motherboard will auto-adjust the multiplier down. Under load, it CPU-Z reports the 9x multiplier. Maybe this auto-adjusting is a feature of Vista, dunno.

Overclocking e4300 on stock hsf......

I answered this on the other thread, but... Gigabyte S3 w/ stock hsf, got it to 2.7ghz undervolted to 1.25v. Even at that voltage, it runs around 45C idle 75C load. I'm stable 3ghz @ 1.4v and 3.15ghz @ 1.425v, but in both cases my CPU is running extremely hot because the stock cooler sucks...

E4300 Overclocks?

OK, disabled the "smart fan" functionality in the bios and the fan is going fine... I'm now running at 1.25v cpu @ 2.7ghz and orthos has passed for the last 30 mins or so. I think my problem is the poor contact between the CPU and heatsink, and I'm debating on whether or not to plunk down...

E4300 Overclocks?

Hrmm.. What kind of temps are you guys running? My CPU core is idleing at around 60*C, and getting into the upper 80's under load, and this is at stock vcore (stock cooler with AS5). This is when measured using hmonitor or Intel TAT. Are these accurate? I've heard people say things like it...

I was originally on the F8 bios, then flashed to F7 without seeing any difference. Have you seen that things improve on the F6 bios? Maybe I'll give that a try tonight... Yes, I am locking the PCI-E to 100.

E4300 Overclocks?

I just got my system set up. I have the Gigabyte S3 (not DS3), E4300 (stock cooler), and Corsair PC6400/800mhz memory. I was stable at 3ghz (333mhz), but failed Orthos at 3.3ghz (366mhz). I can probably bump up the vcores to get that stable. What I can't figure out is why I can't POST at...

In for one, the brown looks like the best color and the screen is huge. I'd get the ipod but I don't want to pay $30 for a case which makes it double the size and ugly. My mini will have to hold me over for now..

Huh? Google was one of the last to the search party. What they added was an uncluttered homepage and PageRank. MS has had satellite photos and maps for a long time now. The fact that they were able to release Virtual Earth so soon must mean they have had a working version for a while now...
