Ethernet Switch Problem

I am getting a crappy wireless signal on my second floor with the router being in the basement so I wanted to move it to the main floor to assist with this. Are you telling me that it is not possible to go directly to a switch from the modem? that doesn't seem to make sense at all.

I did the free upgrade to win10 and I am fine with it but I was attempting to take some military training classes and they will not run without glitching in anything but Internet Explorer or smoothly (according to the help desk) unless in win7 or vista (yuck). Anyways, I am past my 1 month...

Upgrading system

I am starting to think this may be a good idea too. THough I am seriously considering a 500GB SSD in the mean time. You make the rebuild easier if I can just move whole drives with data intact at the time I build a new system.

Which Macbook would be best in college for me?

I would agree with Essence that the university I attend is overwhelmingly mac based both in what the student body cares around to classes and the lab setups. Of course we still have an abundance of Windows PC's on campus, but a large portion of the desktops on campus are macs.

Upgrading system

Which would require me to buy a new mobo at which point I might as well just build a new system. Total budget for upgrades I would like to stay under $600. I am guessing this will probably get me a decent graphics card and thats about it. But if there are any other suggestions that would be good.

Upgrading system

I have the CPU overclocked already @4.2 and am using the Hyper 212 EVO heatsink. The SSD is an 840 and no I have not run the program for restoring performance but I definitely will. As far as GPU's go, which would you recommend? Would be willing to spend about $500 for a new one.
