During the livestream, the AMD card looked worse. But the AOTS benchmark isn't an exact replicable benchmark, and we've seen links to the AOTS benchmarks with those values showing same settings, so I think this is debunked.

Well from what we've seen, the 480 RX @ $200 is a 4GB part, so it'd be higher for an 8GB part. I'm somewhat wondering if aggressively clocked cards (I simply don't know, but using the TFLOP calculation, these cards are clocked conservatively if 14nm\16nm FinFET are comparable) or GDDR5X cards...

If they are still cutting down GP104 dies at this point, not really. Polaris is a really small chip, combined with another 10% density advantage from 14nm, it means you can get a lot more chips out of a wafer than Nvidia. Thats price points Nvidia can't hit.

Again, not so sure. The darkhorse atm with the 1070 is Polaris. Depending on where Polaris sits perf wise, its possible we will see high clocking Polaris parts that are cheaper to manufacturer having equal or better performance to a 1070. With 1070 dies being more expensive to manufacture, this...

I'm not sure to be honest. I think the big problem is is that this card should be compared to the 980, of which then its gains are quite remarkable. However, its priced like a 980 Ti, which then makes its gains look pretty underwhelming.
