Why rule out the Zalman? I have it and so do many other ppl. No one has reported any benefit from the DPS thing, infact there were a few who reported it causing instability. I never installed the DPS and all is well. Have you purchased memory yet? There have been many posts regarding...

Giga GA-8KNXP mobo - stable for anyone?

harrillj, you don't say which memory sticks you have. Are they 512MB? Also which slots are they in? I also agree with the above suggestions except for the voltage - mine is only stable at default setting. This mobo & ram combo is tricky. My rig: Gigabyte 8KNXP, P4 2.8C, Corsair...

RAID on Gigabyte GA-8KNXP

First off I also find the BIOS and the Gigabyte text very confusing. It's like a bad translation from Chinese. Some tidbits I can pass along: There are 3 RAID controllers: " on chip SATA" - the ICH5R, "Onboard H/W SATA" - the Silicon Image contoller [supports hot plug function], "GigaRAID...

rebooting problem w/ gigabyte 8knxp

Have you guys tried removing the DPS2 card? Someone in the Corsair forum found it to be the souce of his problems.

Nova: did you try to clear the CMOS? (Push the little lever on the battery, wait 20 seconds push the battery back in place)?

GA-8KNXP+MEMORY

I just put together my set up. Corsair twinx1024 - 3200C2PT. SPD timings are cas 2.5, 8,3,3. I just backed up and will try to lower these settings.
