Ha ha, thanks Guess I'll take the hint and count it as a loss. I've got that extra 1155 board already, so the 2700k won't go to waste, it just isn't nearly as filled out in terms of features. Thanks all. I just haven't had luck with ASUS boards

people here: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/299757-30-asus-p8z68-boot-error were having a similar issue; an asus rep recommended filling the slot furthest from the socket. But you're right, that isn't exactly the same board and the slot closest is a1. Thanks! I'll try that out

I've been running this board as a media server for the past 3 or so years. A couple months ago the CPU_LED came on with no graphics on the display. I had the configuration modestly overclocked to 4ghz, and resetting bios settings (disconnecting power, removing the battery, moving the clrtc...

Will SB mean a significant drop in current processor prices?

So, does anyone think 1366 motherboards will drop in price at all? I really don't think so, as SB is meant to replace 1156, but some people do seem to think so. TLDR: should I wait until SB comes out to buy a 1366 mobo?

Best LGA 1366 motherboard?

So, sabertooth. Its cheaper, but it also doesn't seem to be recommended nearly as much as the UD3R. Can someone tell me why people prefer the UD3R over it even though they seem so similar? Is it just brand preference? I only plan on taking my i7 to 4.2-4.4, so the increased OC capability doesn't...
