Make DVD's from Avi etc.

Right now I'm using the stock heatsink/fan that came on my CeleronD 3.2ghz LGA775. This is pretty much the loudest fan in my system. When I unplugged this fan for a second, the audio level was very nice with just a small hum from the power supply. What do you think will be the cheapest way to...

Video Card problems

DVI does work in other resolutions, just doesn't seem to want to work at 1680x1050. I don't have another gpu, or 1680x1050 capable monitor or else I would test.

Upgrading Laptop Ram, DDR or DDR2?

ok thanks, I guess its just DDR then, since thats what it says on the label of the sticks that are in there now. And its not the system in my sig, its a laptop

Upgrading Laptop Ram, DDR or DDR2?

Hi, I've got a compaq laptop thats about 1 year old that currently has 2x256 DDR memory sticks (I think its DDR at least, the label just says DDR) I am wanting to put 2x512 in it but im not sure which type of RAM I need. If it currently has DDR, will DDR2 sticks fit? Or should I just get DDR? Thanks

New webcam only shows a black image

Hi, Ive got a Dynex webcam that says its compatible with Vista, but I'm only getting a black image. It works fine on a different XP machine. I've tried reinstalling software, drivers, and everything I could think of.. Any ideas on what I should do? thanks

Tunneling software to play LAN game online?

I like to play Starcraft with a friend over my Lan but is there a program that can make it appear that he is on my local network when he is at his house? I know for xbox there is Xlink and XBConnect and these both work great. Something similar for pc games would be perfect. Thanks!

Newly Installed Modem doesnt show up in Device Manager

PC not booting up sometimes

Well, its been a while and I finally got a new PSU (Ultra XConnect 500w) The same thing happens. It just gets stuck at that screen. Im kind of mad now that I bought a new PSU and it never fixed the problem.

Better keyboard / mouse for Wrist Pains

Hi, this past week my right wrist has been hurting a ton and it doesnt seem to go away. Do you think this might have something to do with being on the computer a ton? Ive seen those vertical mice and if this pain is caused by computing, would those help at all? thanks
