uhhh...bump? Anyone got any ideas? It started working again for a few hours...then back to this ugly ****** again.

Very weird problem

I'm not running the default shell on any of my computers and I don't really want to hop through hoops to test...but I believe right clicking on the desktop, Arrange Icons, check show icons on desktop, and you should get them all to display again.

It's an HIS, which I had OC'd to speeds covered under the warranty. My proc was running at 2.7 for a few weeks, which may have led to codec/driver corruption. Or it might be residual traces of the virus that pwned my system a month ago. I purged the ATi drivers and installed the latest...

video issues

All my video players work partially with some tweaking and disabling of video accelleration...but I still get the video problems in the screenshot in WMP too. If I could get these files to play properly in any player I'd be happy enough, but the video screws up no matter what I try.

video issues

Well, something broke on my computer today. Not sure if it was my X700 or a collection of drivers. Video playback won't work at full acceleration anymore. I have to scale it back to 3 ticks from the left to get any playback at all, and even then some files are still messed up...

You should push the HT multi down to x4... standard HT is 1GHz, running the board above that may cause stability issues. For your ram, I'd only push up the voltage if once you start going above the stock speeds, or trying to get tighter timings. Run MemTest86+ and see if any errors crop up after...

Do you wear a watch on your left hand or right hand?

Almost everyone I've met wears their watch on the opposite hand they write with. Mostly because it's more comfortable when writing. I'm left handed and wear it on my right.

whats the hardest part in building your own computer??

The hardest part is definitely the troubleshooting after everything is assembled. Beyond that it's the waiting for weeks on end for parts to arrive because they get shipped to the other side of the country by mistake. And by software, I assume he was referring to getting the OS to work...

the 3 day weekend is almost over

I'm still at work. Getting paid double time and a half, but I still have another 8 days to go before a day off. Damned schedule change-overs. I don't even get weekends off yet. I hate all of you who could laze around all day, while I continue to desire the ability to wipe New Jersey off the map...

D&D guru, i need your help to build a lvl 6 Cleric.

That's wrong. The improvements to the DD affect the saving throw to prevent an effect. Like when someone casts Colour Spray, everyone in the AoE has to make a Con save against the caster's DD(10+Spell Level+Stat Mod+misc) or suffer the consequences(stun/blind/unconcious) Those specialization...
