Yay! Another "New System Build"

E6400 for the higher multiplyer. mb should give you a nice o/c 3rd party cooler for cpu since you plan to o/c. psu should be fine. retail vs oem comes down to the warranty i believe, oem parts have no warranty. ps. don't you need ddr2 800? why buy an expensive v/c if your going to...

the whole idea, well atleast mine, behind o/c anything is to get the most for the lowest cost, hence you buy the cheapest version and make it perform like the best if not better. Unless your going for a max o/c the most expensive parts don't make sense unless you want to waist money or just want...

look at newegg.com , mwave.com ? , there are others if you just search. why not a E6400 and the 150$ asus p5b. save a lot of cash and still get great performance

Ways to cool down my computer?

dust is dependant on how much dust is in your room to begin with. your temps look fine, nothing is too hot. in the bios there might be an option for the fan to spin faster. if you want to cool things down you could get fans that move more air, albeit noiser unless you can fit larger fans...

Couple of first build worries...

so get an amd 4200, 2x ati x1900xt, and 2gb 2x1gb OCX 2-3-2-5 ram. and the asus mb you chose. as far as psu, the seasonic 500W is atleast SLI certified, im not sure if ati does the same thing for crossfire but i believe its enough juice none the less.

AIW X800 XL 256 MB vs pny 7600GS 512mb

from what i remember, the x800xl was competition for the 6800gt, and the 7600gs is equivlant to a 6600gt

Selling my rig, need advice.

if you part it out it will take longer to sell it in its entire. however you will probably not get as much $ if you sold it as a whole unit but it would be all done in one sale and not be as much of a hassle as parting out
