Question about Fallout 3

I many give Quake 4 a try, I have never played it. I guess I am too much an action junkie to go "explore". I play a lot of Cod5, multi player on custom servers with faster speed and modded weapons. If I don't die about every 20 seconds or so something is just not right! Very fast paced games are...

Gateway P-6831 fx Vista 64 bit, E7500 processor 4 gigs of ram 8800gts video, two hard drives. I use it at home, work and travel for work. Gaming wireless in a hotel sucks. Better than hanging out in bars.....

Yes, I thought from the few bad reviews I saw they were from fps guys that I would not care for it, but it got tons of good reviews for sure. I loved Bioshock, I guess 2 is in order.....

Call of Duty: Black Ops to be Activision's biggest launch to date

Yes, and then I play on mod servers. Ours runs like 60 plus maps in rotation. So you need those on top of the patches. I still love it, but in the early days it was very frustrating to run.

Call of Duty: Vietnam

Our clan runs a Vietnam mod for cod5, it is pretty well done. I don't care for it, too much foliage for me. Everyone just hides and waits for you to go by.

Left4Dead 2 pre-order up on Steam

I will be waiting for the 5.00 sale like Bioshock. I just picked up the first one for 15 on the last steam sale. It is an Ok game. I don't think I would be happy paying 50.00 for it. Even 15.00 is a stretch.

How to balance performance with quality in game setting

And just one thing, v-sync will make your max fps 60 if your video card will drive the game you are playing faster than that. So, if you are shooting for max fps leave the veritcal sync off.

CoD4 - PC version

Look around for a mod server with custom maps. The maps are larger and have more spawn points and generally are not over populated. I hate to see nades and marty removed. I love a good battle of nades against someone. In fact on some maps I will play nothing but nades, and not toss one at a...

Looking for some suggestions

marmasatt, I don't care for the RPG stuff either. Stalker, I played it for quite some time. All I did was go from here to there, and died of the same old thing. Either dogs would get me or I needed to go through radiation and got so beat up everytime I went through it that it just got old...

Dave, Yeah, I forgot, I played the Doom series, in fact only recently finished Doom3. I had to make myself finish it. Although I will say it got better towards the end. I don't know how I forgot Duke, that was the game that got me hooked. I also played Redneck rampage from that time period...
