Keeping your LAPTOP up to date with your PC?

I use "Second Copy 2000" to sync folders between the desktop and laptop. It's not automatic but workable. I'd like to hear what others do too.

Something for your computer repair toolbox

I need one for a CD writer that writes double-size CDs (Sanya??). I have some CDs written with that writer and the format is obsolete. Which one of these are definitely compatible with CD, DVD writers? I've read responses that they don't work with CD/DVD drives. Thanks!

USB 2.0 IDE Adapter from xpcgear.com working?

I forgot to add info: My HD is set as Master. The adapter also freezes my PC if it's on when booting. Remove it would boot fine. Maybe I got a bad one or maybe it does not work anyone? Please let me know if it does work on your PC. Thanks, cpliu

Maxtor 100gb hard drive $19.99 AR starting 9/25 at OD

Sorry I jumped the gun. Partion Magic can see it. Also the USB to IDE adapter I purchased from xcpgear.com is the problem. With it connected, PC would freeze when booting up. If turned on after booting, Windows warned that driver is not properly installed.

Melectricus, thanks for the tip. Indeed there were 2 left when I visited my local OD. I'm trying to install the drive. There is small one pin jumper (looks like). Is it removable or it's part of the jumper? I checked p7 of the installation guide, Style A2 has the jumper location like that...
