Oil disappearing

03 Nissan Murano, 60k miles.. For whatever reason, this thing EATS oil. Over 1k, I went though 5 quarts. It doesn't smoke, sounds like its running fine (till the oil is low and I can hear the cams). I park in the same place everyday and there is no sign of oil leaks. No weird smells, nothing.

How did he get this past the license plate filters?

The font used on some plates makes the characters hard to differentiate for a passer-by who wants to call the cops in on you. I had a motorcycle with a plate that read VWVVWVW, you cold hardly tell what was a V and what was a W. I don't see how this would work with a camera though as...
