It's about getting a relatively no fuss Android Box that can stream all those Asian channels. It's not about cost of productions, there is more value to it then that.
For older generation Asian folks this is a god send, as after the initial investment all you need is bandwidth.

No since you already have the 3570K/2600K on the market right now. If Intel makes a new CPU they have to beat the old standard that they have set prior not make things worse... no one is going to buy a more expensive CPU that gives less.

They increased transistors by 60% and netted a 30-45% performance improvement over 6970.. which isn't bad overall..
