I wouldn't hold everyone who supported Bush, Cheney, Rumsfield, Rove, Powell, etc responsible, just Bush, Cheney, Rumsfield and Wolfowitz. However, clearly, the actions of these marines were symptom of much larger problem, it shows how much US has lost claim to moral high ground in this war...

Why is war-torn Iraq giving $190,000 to Toys R Us?

Well, someone gotta pay something, all those thing are not free, u know. Most of the payment probably came out from the govt. funds or from Saddam personal wealth that they're able to confiscate... ordinary Iraqis probably won't see a cent of those money anyway, regardless...

Health Insurance for All Children

because insurance cost money and children can't pay for it themselves so it will fall on other member of the population to pick up the tab. I'd agree if someone propose a free limited health service for children, ie immunization, but if parents want their children to be insured fully, they gotta...

Platoon defies orders in Iraq

As a military strategist, I'd always prefer the troops follow order without question regardless, but as humanitarian, I could understand the dilemma of the soldiers, because they're still a human however much training you put into them, and the number one instinct of a human is to stay alive...
