I had to upgrade to the flash beta because I couldn't play hulu full screen on my 1920x1080 on stock e6400 speed ;/ I notice it a bit. Yah I'm looking at ebay too.
I'm hesitant to get a used one just because what if someone is offloading theirs because of the same situation I'm in?
Since I wasn't planning on spending a lot for 1 more year, After hearing the praise about our E6400s, I will just get a new LGA 775 board and continue to overclock it!
Any recommendations on a new LGA 775 board? The Gigabyte GA-EP45 is selling for $130.. ideally would like to spend $70-80 but...
So what do you guys think? If the E6400 is to slow for my current needs should I replace the mobo to overclock it some more or it's not worth it to invest in another LGA775 motherboard?
I have one of the Corsair HX-510W PSU I doubt it's that. I suppose it could be the motherboard, I hadn't thought of that. If it is the motherboard it might push me to jump to LGA 1156 I guess. It's hard to determine where I'm going to get my most bang for buck at this point for games. If I get a...
I have a ASUS P5B-deluxe with one of the first E6400 it's running stock speed at 2.13 now. It can only stable at clock. I had it running at 3.0 - 3.3 for over 3 years. It's not cutting it anymore. I'm surprised I got so much performance for so long from it!
I'm either looking at another budget...
Does the ASUS P5N7A-VM integrated video support HDCP? Why is that better than just picking up the HD 4350? What would be the best way to get 7.1 sound to from mobo to receiver with those choices. There's not digital sound output unless the HDMI does it on that mobo?
Would e6400 at stock play...
So you're saying just upgrade the video card for a new gaming machine? The e6400 is at stock right now. I had it overclocked for 2 years at 3.0ghz it won't do that stable anymore. I think it will be the bottleneck.
I want to build an HTPC for my tv room. I have a 46" 1080p tv and a 7.1 surround system (Onkyo 606 receiver is really nice). I want to use my current gaming rig as parts for most of it and build a new one.
I think I want my budget to be about 1200 for now because I'll reuse my old video card...
[list=1]Overview of the problem
I dropped the laptop. Every time I turn it on it shuts down at the windows loading screen. I tried reinstalling the OS as well and it does it again. I took out every piece and re-seat it in case the fall dislodged something.
Full description of the problem...
It happens on all resolutions and refresh rates. It's my secondary monitor. I swapped the DVI cable with my primary and slot on my 8800gts and it still does it. So I'm positive it's the monitor. It even does it over the "signal not detected" box when I don't even have the DVI cable hooked into...
I have a 19" BenQ that was recommended in the LCD thread a year or so ago for fast gaming. Mine has vertical lines through it and it's all distorted. It even does it on bios screen. I've already had this crappy monitor in for warranty for not turning back on and power issues. I believe it's out...
The ami beep chart on the p5b-d only has 3 options heh. Mine is hardware failure woot.. doesn't tell me much. I don't know why a system would be so stable then do this. I think it's my video card and maybe a stick of ram went out too.
