yep. but it all worked out ok i guess, there at the end. one dude said he was getting icmp unreachables up the wazoo, in his firewall logs, AFTER he stopped browsing anandtech forums. and it turned out that the major offenders were the ads on anandtech. however, he seems to have overreacted...

<< 160MHz is also selectable, but is above the official rated frequency for the AMD AM486DX5-133 (133MHz) processor. >> i don't care if i burn it up, what a luxury! :) :cool:

what is fastest cpu to fit in socket3?

ok so 133 is max then, for the 2 free motherboards, both with 486dx66's in them now. one works. one might. i had a AMD486/133 once, first thing i ever built i'll try that linux seti boot disk in em edit thanks i got more and quicker here than in cpu section /edit

thanks dudes. i haunt the technet security site now. my stuff is as patched as i can get it. EVERYBODY should subscribe to technet security email notification, it's not just for IIS. patch those browsers! and windoze too! http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/...
