You know, for someone who sides with Zendari in a gay rights thread, you're awfully hyper-sensitive when it comes to Indian issues. You sound like one of those hypocritical, self-righteous minorities that thinks only of themselves... so I wouldn't accuse others of having a lack of credibility...

Where can I get ffdshow -- a copy that DOESN'T have a trojan in it?

I usually just use mpc, ffdshow (although I've been getting it from the official and apparently outdated soundforge site), and ac3filter and everything seems to work great. Is there a reason why a codec pack like CCC would be better? Sorry if I'm going too off-topic :D

Stop XP's idle tasks defrag?

I use O&O's complete defrag option at least a couple times a month -- it will organize files by name/directory, date accessed, or date modified (whichever option you select) into a single contiguous space. I know that doesn't necessarily give better performance than a normal built-in defrag, but...

how cpu limited am i

Just to answer a couple of your questions directly... I have a P4 2.4C with an unlocked 6800nu and can run modern games at mid-high settings with no problems. When I unlocked my card I got an improvment of 350+ 3DMarks in 05, so I don't think the CPU is too limiting. My next upgrade will be...

I'm happy to report that my card unlocked successfully. I've run 3DMark05, rthdribl, and a couple games and haven't seen any artifacts... and I saw an increase of 350 3DMarks. It is a little louder than I would have hoped though. I thought these things where supposed to have variable fans...

Poll: Does "the perfect rig" really need SLI?

If by "kids with no money" you mean "either kids or adults that prefer to spend their money efficiently" I agree. Note that most people would say SLI is for "enthusiasts" and not for "kids with too much money" because most people don't feel the need to attack others that disagree with them.
