Where Are The Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6 Motherboards?

When my computer boots up it says X48-DQ6 Rev F7f So I would say it's safe to say that it's for X48 ;)

Motherboard/Ram advice question

There's a heat problem with the X38/X48 series boards? I did some pretty thorough reading on the X48 series and never found mention of any problems related to this. My X48, while "only" running at a mild overclock of 20% (E8400 @ 3.6GHz, 1.25Vcore), has no heat "problems" whatsoever. Temps...

Hey Eklock... What bios are you using. I'm using the F7f I posted earlier, and haven't seen any issues like that at all. As far as OC'ing. I didn't have a lot of time, but I upped Vcore to 1.25, and set my FSB to 400 for my E8400, set my RAM to run 2.2V 1066MHz @ 5-5-5-15. Fired right up...

Where Are The Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6 Motherboards?

Install went flawlessly, yay! Up and running XP32 here... No real time to OC it yet, but running an E8400 / Xigmatek HDT-S1283 / 2x 1Gb Corsair Dominator 8500C5DF and so far it's humming merrily along. More to come later after I get some work done. /cheers

Where Are The Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6 Motherboards?

It will be waiting for me tomorrow afternoon when I get home from work! Just confirmed it via UPS tracking website. Very excited now to get my computer back together, unfortunately any OC tinkering will have to wait until I get unfinished work done for my customers.

Board shipped off as of 11:30AM EST Fri the 25th of April. Should be in Chuck's hands no later than Tuesday in Cali. With a fast turn around I can hopefully have my "new" mobo back next Friday, stuck on the wifes laptop until then!

Hi jaggerwild, I'm actually going to send it back on my own dime, with the USPS priority mail. I have a lot more faith in them than I do in UPS/FedEx (my brother is a UPS package handler at the hub in my area) and for anything fragile / delicate I use USPS. Sending it out tomorrow at lunch...
