Earlier today I was offered a box of computer "junk", and of course I gladly accepted it. After rummaging through the box I found a COA for Windows 2000 Small Business Server, the installation cd's and 20 Client Access Licensepak. I will most likely never use these items, and I would like...

Windows Experience Index for Vista

Base score: 4.8 Processor: 4.8 Memory: 4.9 Graphics: 5.9 Gaming graphics: 5.7 Primary hard disk: 4.9 Runs pretty well, I dont do any gaming but I do play around with Xna. Most of my time is spent in Visual Studio 2005, which runs great.

Awesome food products that were discontinued

I remember eating some sort of colored popcorn as a kid. No clue who made it, or what the flavors were but I clearly remember having popcorn in blue, orange, red, etc.

Game for me and GF

I'm with the MMO idea. My g/f loved it when I built her a PC, got a new set of WoW disks/Key and took some time leveling a char with her. She loves it, and I enjoy being able to connect with her on a "PC" level.

C# ?

Thanks for all of the replies. I really do appreciate the help you have all offered. I just wasnt sure if C# had matured to a level of market acceptance. Thanks again for helping me steer my life :)

C# ?

I'm heading back to school in january , going for a BS in COMPSCI. Long story short, the primary language being taught is C#.. Is C# mainstream ? I cant really say that i've been keeping tabs on it. But C# over C++ ? Just wondering ..

Vista trashed my drive ?

I have a single 140gb drive, I made a primary partition thats 120 gigs, and a logical drive that 20 gigs. I used the 20 gig to back up my stuff before clean installing vista. Installed vista, hated it, reinstalled Xp. Now I am unable to access my backup drive, I've tried some recovery...

Traces Destroyed during shipment

Well, I found out why the board wasnt working .. turns out it was shipped with the backplate under the mobo, which in turn scratched the hell out of alot of traces connecting to the ZIF socket. I'm a cheap, do it yourself type person. I would rather spend 6+ hours repairing traces instead...

Wont boot

I just purchased an opteron 146, an epox-9npa+sli here an MSI X1800 XL1800, and yeah.. thats about it. I put it all together, and the bios Led's just say 'FF'. According to the book that means Boot Attempt(int 19). It just sits there with that, no video.. no post beeps, nada. I've tried...
