Hello,
The trouble with playing live into a computer and adding software effects (such as with Cakewalk SONAR) is that you are going to run into latency problems. With a SoundBlaster Live card the latency is most likely going to be noticable. However, you won't run into this problem with the...
Here's a decent description of it. It isn't a very efficient algorithm but it is the simplist way to do what you describe:

It's been a while since I took my Datatypes and Algorithms course but isn't the easiest way to do that called a "bubble sort"? Unless someone else jumps in who has a better memory of it, I'll try to explain...

Sorry, I just looked and the 29160 is about the same price as the Tekram DC-390U3W. The big difference is that the Tekram is a dual channel card while the 29160 is a single channel card. If it turns out that one of my hard drives is a single ended drive and not a LVD then having a dual channel...
Hi xtreme2k,
Here's the deal with the SCSI cards. I already own the Adaptec 3630. It is a decent card but isn't really meant to have more than one hard drive attached to it. Because I need to update it anyway I felt I might as well keep the CD-ROM and Burner separate from the hard drives...
Hi guys,
Here's the system I'm thinking about building for recording. Please take a look and see if I missed/forgot anything. Thanks!
OS: Windows 2000*
Motherboard: CUSL-2*
Processor: Pentium III 1GHz*
Memory: 256 MB CAS-2 PC133 SDRAM*
Video Card: 4MB AGP (It's for...
Flip the mouse over, I'm pretty sure the serial number is right underneath the bar code. Try not to blind yourself with the LED though. . . . :)

Wingnutz,
Wow, it is crazy how similar our systems are. Take a look at my system's page. Same processor speed, video cards, amount of memory, size of monitor, size and RPM of hard drive. . .
Twin computers separated at birth.
CygnusX1.
This could happen if there is a lot of hard drive activity on your computer. I would experience this when the computer was booting up but it could also happen between levels of Quake III when the textures are loading for instance. Switching my mouse from USB to the PS2 port eliminated the...
Wingnutz,
Sweet looking system. Your cards are set up just like mine (I think): AGP video up top, PCI sound in the middle, Network card on the bottom, each with their own IRQ, no sharing.
Looks like there is a power connector going to the video card. Is that a 3dfx card?
Mark.
