Need assistance with An AP issue

No using the standard adapter yeah, im using a patch panel to switch. i tested the cables and get a pass through all of the wall ports. if i plug a laptop direct to the port it works fine as well.

Seeking advise on setting up a file server for getting music to smartphones

most Cisco/linksys routers have a media server ish type setting in them. so in theory yes you could do that. the issue would be with getting the music to the phone. idk if winamp for android supports streaming like that.

sounds like a bad download from Intel. i had this happen to recently. I would choose the device in device manager & right click, then uninstall it. then reboot and install a different download driver set. if that doesn't work,, you can try forcing the driver via device manager. heres a link to...

15 should be ok, you should assign static ip to each machine, since its likely that you don't have access to the router in this situation and cant know what the DHCP range truly is, but letting once of them connect via DHCP can give you an idea of the range and you can assign you statics this...
