This is for aim direct connection and file transfer... didn't test talk yet. It seems like I need to port TRIGGER ports for aim for this to even work. If I don't port trigger the weird thing is my buddy can direct connect to me but I can't with him. It also seems like DMZ enabled with dhcp...
Okay.. I got that router you were talking about.. the linksys one. Now I tried hosting a shoutcast server and a friend wasnt able to connect to my page. Is there anyway I can disable the firewall completely or put it the same as say.. a switch?

Not sure.. I just got this ISP so i'm new with fios. I been using roadrunner all these years. Can you reccomend me a good router without much problems with the firewall and I don't have to port forward nearly every program? Bittorrent ran slow on this actiontec and when I hosted a shoutcast...
okay.. roadrunner worked with a switch with both computers plugged in.. don't know why this one wont. Do you know any routers with a firewall that I can disable.. or one without.. If one does have a firewall I would want one with a disable option or something so I can turn it off so I don't have...
okay so.. recently I got verizon fios and they set me up with an Actiontec MI424WR. He installed one computer and I dragged a wired line upstairs and plugged it into the other one. Both plugged into the router and worked fine. Then I got sick of this routers firewall.. not being able to turn it...
Found my problem.. One of my ram sticks is faulty. When they were both in I must of got 200+ errors non stop erroring till I quit memtest. I tried single and one of them ram for hours without errors, the other one had a spam errror flipout on test #5. I'll try without that stick and see if it...

This has been happening ever since I built the rig and its been pissing me off. I noticed that ever since I upgraded to SP2 after reformats the crashes happen more often. I usually only crash when I am multi tasking stuff like for example: two games at once etc. Sometimes my computer just locks...
