I updated the BIOS from 1004 to the latest 1101 which didn't help.
I've systematically replaced pretty much all the components and the CPU is the only thing left at this time.
I'll have to rip up everything to get to the CPU before calling Intel because they want all the numbers on it for the RMA. Probably another week before any update on this saga.
RAM: tried moving to different slots, tried one stick at a time, ran MemTest for 8 hours with no error. Installed a different pair of Kingston RAM and still got random reboot. So I ruled out my G.Skill as the problem.
Here's a funny thing. I set Vcore in the BIOS to be 1.35v. These are the readings I get:
CPU-Z = 1.312v
Speedfan = 1.31v
PC Probe = 1.31v
Which one do I trust? Am I still low?
I left Asus PC Probe on as I ran Orthos and there was this window that came up after a few minutes:
PC Probe Warning
Vcore Voltage
Vcore was sitting at 1.29v. Is that low?
Here?s my original part list:
Asus P5B Deluxe
E6600
Tuniq Tower 120
G.Skill PC2 6400 2G
XFX 7600GS Fanless
Antec P180
Antec Neo HE550
Raptor 74G
Samsung DVD IDE
XP Pro OEM
I carefully built up the system and began experiencing random reboot problem. No particular software can...
I notice Firefox is doing this to other websites as well in a random manner. Take eBay for instance. I can see the favicon in the address bar and the tab but not in the bookmark toolbar.
I did your experiment and it worked great .... for the Anandtech site, but not for my website. I can see my favicon in the address bar and the tab but it will not stick to the bookmarks or the bookmark toolbar. :( :( :(
