When it comes to 24" IPS monitors, I get the impression that the offerings are not increasing anymore. There is the Dell u2401 NEC HP ZR24w HP LP2475w Is there anything new since the launch of those or is that market pretty much dead?

Ah Finland... home of Jari Litmanen ;) anyway, basically in Europe IPS screens of 24" do not exist for some reason. Either 26" or 21" it appears. at Prad.de (http://www.prad.de/en/index.html) they also reviewed a few Eizo's with 'very good' scores. They appear to do good with graphic...

Is NEC stupid?

I've looked here in France. And from user reports and their own website, neither in the UK, Germany, Benelux to name a few. Seriously, if you create an alledged briliant IPS screen, and most of the times NEC screens score mediocre at most... at least make sure that your good screens are...

Dell Ultrasharp 2408WFP vs. NEC MultiSync 2470WNX

Difficult to answer unless you actually own one of those screens and have simular need for it... Most people here don't. The Dell is too new, so hardly any unbiased reviews, but likely already more people own the Dell2408 than this slightly obscure NEC. I would suggest by the way to change...
