Well all I will say is go to Monoprice and get a Mini dvi-HDMI and a HDMI to DVI-D (single link) it'll run you about $16. They have lifetime guarantees on there products and cheap as hell ^^. Where I got my Mini-display port to DVI-I (dual) $12. Much, much cheaper than apple store or other...
I bought 13" 2.4ghz for the portability purpose but I'm left wanting at 15" MBP sometimes.... I do a lot of graphic design work and it goes without saying that 15" screens are much better at color calibration. Exception of that this thing handles Adobe Premier and WoW very well*don't expect to...
@Kmax82 did you even read the article that was linked on the first post? They're coming out with $899 iMac this fall for students....... please read first.
And lastly, still a waste in the pockets and don't speak for everyone by saying they'll donate.>< You are not the representative of...
All I have to say my new $1200 build pc will blow away there $2500 Mac Pro, but you guys know that already. But couldn't this be a reason why Mac isn't playing along with the PCs? My feeling is most adapters to Mac are the college students/newly graduates... and they tend to purchase lappys for...
I would have done that but... I went to local Central Computers in San Francisco, they have the 3845B027 batch for $324 tax*. From what I know these B batches do very well.
It won't happen until Steve dies. The man really hates tablets from some videos and articles quoting him. I don't know how long I've been waiting for a tablet to come out from Apple and not a third party vendor... All I know is I won't holding my breath for it.
2.4ghz is pretty low. You should be able to OC that sucker little more than that. I was running mind e4300 at 3.1 until it crapped out on me. I say, mess with the timings once more and if you still can't get better performance go quad core. Q6600 are getting really cheap in the FS section.
You reminded of me of when I first installed an AMD processor :) Those things were very tight from tension. As long as you follow the side triangle arrow on cpu to mb it's almost guaranteed that you wont fub the pins or the processor. Glad everything went w/o a hitch.
necine, try macmall. they sell for a little cheaper on the aluminum new. its worth it for the macbook pro. a lot of people rave about the display performance vs the old macbook pros.
@Trajan those reports are now a little better than 50/50 on D0 or C0. But it is becoming more favorable to order from Newegg. I'm still waiting patiently for Santa Clara's Microcenter to run out of there C0s. There's 9 left in there inventory~~ they'll have to order soon!
well i see it beyond the shape. i just got this through AT seller and I think the performance has ++ because the MB is angled to manage graphic card and cpu heatsink better. In addition the temperatures are much better in this case because heat dispenses out the top rather than pushing it out...
I'm just curious if everyone uses the mighty mouse or some other form of peripheral with their macs.
For me I'm not a fan of the mighty and I'm using the Bluetooth mouse 5000 from MS and use my trusty little Wacom Bamboo for design work. I hate the nipple on the Mac too slow to navigate with.
