Dell SC440 for $249...

I'm with you. I have an oooooold PIII 550mHz system running Sidux (debian etch) and this would make a perfect home linux server upgrade. If I can find a coupon code to bring the price down when I adding on a few addons, I'll be set :) I'll keep my eye on this before it expires tomorrow...

I just read a buyers comment, on amazon, that he/she wasn't too happy witht he $100 deal because it only comes with as a basic core. Also, he has to spend an additional $300 for upgrades.

Building a CHEAP home server

I'm glad I found this topic, was trying to figure what I need for basic file serving and a setup for my cisco home lab. Would a 2u server, like a Dell poweredge 2450/2550 for about $200, be more than adequate??

Barebone 3u Rackmount

Hey folks, I'm in a process of building a cisco PIX 520. I'm looking for a plain, reasonable cheap 3u rackount. I'm trying to install an intel ATX board and have the PCI slots facing the front of the chassis/case, as shown here. I know I might need to do some modification, no biggie. Maybe...
