computer turns off for no reason??

When I am using my computer and the CPU is being overworked, my computer just turns off like as if someone pulled the plug from the socket. Even during random times like when I'm just searching the web it does it. could it be my power supply is slowly failing or the CPU fan is not working...

Hardware Acceleration causing 100% CPU usage.

sounds like you don't wanna do a format, but to avoid raising your blood pressure anymore, just do a format...formatting cures everything, majority of the time.

Athlon 2000 1.64 Ghz 1 GB of RAM (believe its PC2700) XFX GForceFX 5500 256 MB Hauppage 150MCE TV Tuner MCE 2005 this system is running on 3 yrs for me but I am happy with it...til recently with this CPU usage problem. I strongly believe its crazy for a computer to lag and be using 100%...

but my CPU is at least 50%, avg of 60...n when i click on a link to surf the net, BOOM, 100%!!

Hot! HP zv6000 Notebook AMD 3000+ $499 AR, in-store at office depot

The weekly ad at officedepot is having a deal on the same laptop again...is it the same great deal?? I just purchased my ZV6000 last weekend from the HP site and was pist that I missed this deal by a week and now i'm even more frustrated that its back again a week after I ordered. Sigh...

Gas skyrocketed, oh my!

does anyone know the specific reason to why the huge gas spike in the recent days and in the recent years?? I heard something about the hurricane doing something to the Gulf supply...but what about the recent years??
