Yes, these are different programs. Also, someone suggested that it is a screen buffer size issue that does a page at a time. That makes sense as I can see it blink as I cross page boundaries. I do not see how to change the size....if I can. Is it Windows or the GPU?

Resource is only a few %. I/O is fine and it is on an SSD. Error logs OK...just info. Again, system IS fast, it seems like some setting that only loads a page at a time. Scrolling within a Word Doc, or PDF is smooth...until it loads the next page.

It was an upgrade from 8.1 but I had the same issue on 8.1.

Why is my Win 10 System Pausing on each Page Break?

I must be doing something wrong, but am not sure if it is the GPU or OS or what! I am using a 2GB EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti. With all the latest drivers. I built an i7-4790k, 16GB Memory, 512GB SSD and ASUS Z97 Pro MoBo. OK, this should be fast and it is. However, I just get the feeling...

How to see shutdown message in Win 8.1?

I have a small problem as everything is working on my Win 8.1 Pro 64 bit system with 512GB SSD. When I shut down, it says that it is shutting down on the blue screen. Being on an SSD it only takes about 10 seconds. However, above the Shut Down message, there is a QUICK message that pops up...

best Win 8.1 64 bit Dual Pane File Manager

Nothing, but I am used to having a dual pane program on XP and I just now built a new system with 8.1 and am used to the dual panel software. In fact, I did what you said a few days ago, and, of course it does work, but I like one program that lets you do that and more.

Actually it does look like Q-DIR can be set up well and there is a 64 bit version. Now on to getting my start menu back!

Good Free/Cheap System Image Backup Programs

Well, I have an SSD AND a WD 3 TB drive. Is the Free WD version of True Image 2015? What version is it and do you get NAG screens? I assume this free version will do a complete backup of my SSD that has 3 or 4 partitions and will let me do a complete recovery. Does it create rescue Mdeia...

I have tried Free Commander XE and Q-DIR on 32 bit XP systems but just built a 64 bit Win 8.1 system. As usual I hate the Windows Explorer file manager. Q-DIR seems good, but I can not see how to add drive icons to a toolbar. I like FreeCommander XE, but do not yet see a 64 bit version...
