Oh, wow...nationwide. Hmmm, that would explain the hold times.
So I guess the question of the week is: Does this happen with all VOIP? I mean, is this a "get what you pay for" quirk of SR, or will going up in price to Viatalk, Vonage, or Lingo have the same issues? I don't remember having...
Oh, god...if people call my SR number, they hear "The subscriber you have called is not in service"...in other words, my work line now looks like I forgot to pay the cell phone bill. Unacceptable (and ridiculous) ...I think I'm going to ask for a refund.
I've been troublefree for a while now, just renewed (3 free months).
Today, I get a busy signal when I try to make outbound calls...no matter who I call. Thought it was the phone being busy, of course, but then I tried to call my own cell phone and got the same signal, and the phone never...
Hmmm...sales didn't work, said they couldn't do the renewal and didn't know what offers were currently running, but they could walk me through doing the renewal for the current offer online. They transferred me to the renewals dept; great support quality for both departments, incidentally...
Georgepa, others:
How do I get in touch with SR to see about renewal options? I called the SR customer service number (from the site) and selected the option for renewals, got put on hold for ~10 minutes, and then got a message which said "Thank you for calling the Springfield Sunrocket...
Grabbed one for $95. Need to go dual boot with Ubuntu and migrating data is going to be one phenomenal pain without some major drive space...this is going to be my main system drive, with a 80G drive running XP as backup.
And, someday, I'm going to grab a couple more of these and set up...
It's ironic; the sheeple gets all righteous about media censorship in other countries, since we like saying "Bad China"...though we're saying it a little more quietly in international circles these days.
Comcast decides what you see.
Pretty much speaks for itself. Following in the footsteps of AOL, which blocks content critical of AOL, Comcast recently censored a Nightline session that highlighted the sleeping technician story. Now that's customer service for you...not only has the problem...
You: "Name a senator who has been more effective for his constituency"
Me: Senators are not always effective for the constituency they claim they are working for (i.e. Bobby Rush). Also, his effectiveness (or lack thereof) in comparison to other senators doesn't qualify him to address issues...
Snowman,
The comment means: the ISP can prioritize VOIP traffic over other forms of traffic. If it does so, it must then prioritize other companies' VOIP traffic in the same way. This = non-discrimination. If they change their QoS prioritization to benefit their own services, the same...
Are you seriously justifying what this clown said by stating that aforementioned clown gets your state more money than anyone else gets for their state?
An idiot in office who didn't get his email for three days because of all the crap that people put in his tubes (without paying for it)...
Moonbeam has it right. The only appropriate response is a fair, unpolitical trial and then condemnation, if they are found guilty. Working to prevent this in the future is difficult; right now, military recruiting strategy is aimed specifically at low-income neighborhoods where high school kids...
I believe these soldiers should be tried and punished as harshly as anyone else convicted of the same crimes. And rape and murder is something that they have done in our names, not randomly on the streets. These things were done as representatives of our nation. In my opinion, war crimes should...
6000SUX, I'm interested...I know a lot of the activists who are on top of telecom legislation (on both sides of this issue) and I've never heard it said by either side that these protections are already embodied in current telecom law. Could you tell me what you've been reading?
The Snowman...
