I only have experience with the plugable UD-3900. Just install the DisplayLink drivers from the DisplayLink site and plug in the USB. I use dual video, USB, LAN, and audio out on the dock and haven't had any problems with it at all.
You're basically adding a USB video card, so the monitors...
I'm running 2xR9 290 on a Corsair HX750 with a 4770k everything is under water. It is pushing ~740 at the wall while mining, but much less while gaming. Should I have a bigger PSU? Maybe? Does it work fine and stay within the rating of the PSU? Yes.
Speedfan does work very well once configured properly. My Crossfire 290s and cpu are all in the same loop. Using Speedfan I am able to set the fan/pump speed profile based on the temperature of each component (gpu1, gpu2, cpu). Speedfan can than use the max speed out of the three. It would...
Would it be possible that the motherboard is not supplying enough power to the dongle when running Crossfire? I know it is not likely, but it might not hurt to try. Have you tried powering the dongle with a powered hub or wall charger?
It is a great card. I have had mine for about a year. I did have one major problem with it. Comcast upgraded some things on their side and the card was no longer able to receive the channel list. Ceton support was top notch. They worked directly with Comcast to resolve the issue and...
I've had my HX620 for four or five years now on pretty much 24/7. Not a single problem with the PSU. Many other components have changed through the years, but I haven't even considered replacing the PSU. I got mine before they shipped with 8 pin PCI-E connectors. I emailed Corsair when I...
If you want to overclock and use Intel you will need a k processor like the 2500K and a p67 board.
How will you hook your computer to your amp? Analog or digital?
It depends on if you are willing to wait for BD. If building a new rig you really can't go wrong with the 2500K. The x8 x8 shouldn't be an issue or cause any noticeable performance problems. Z68 boards should be out in a couple weeks, so if those features interest you at all it might be worth...
I installed a Ceton this past weekend. Other than the two techs (two separate visits) it took to get the cable card installed and activated I love it. Of course up until then I was recording any channel that wasn't clear QAM (locals) using Comcast DTAs into analog capture cards. The quality...
I went to the St. Louis Park store today. They were out of the H61 boards. They substituted the H67MA-E35. I had to pay more ($149.99 after $10 MIR), but that is the board I wanted anyways since it has more SATA ports and HDMI.
