Would You Bother With an AC Accelero Twin Turbo II?

The Twin Turbo II should be a bit quieter, and possibly a bit cooler as well. But the tradeoff isn't free. In exchange, you'll need more room in your case. (Three slots vs. two.) That said, 75C on a GPU is nothing to worry about and it may not be worth the trouble.

Phenom II X4 965 BE temps & OC'ing question

That's about right. Your ambient of 26.6C is a touch on the high side, which would account for it being a couple degrees warmer than "normal".

Haswell, and the 10-year rig revisited

5-7 years seems like a more realistic lifespan for a system. 10 years is pretty much the same thing but with a couple years of stubborn, grudging unhappiness before you upgrade tacked on the end. ;)

They could've saved everyone a lot of time and hassle by just painting racing stripes on the CPU. (Seriously...even though you're just going to smoosh some TIM on it with a heatsink, I bet they'd sell.)

AMD Brazos E-350 Processor For Heavy Surfing

I have one as an HTPC. It mostly just shepherds data from the TV capture card to the NAS via iSCSI, and plays back video to the extender (X-box 360). I wouldn't ask it to do anything hard, honestly...

NF-F12 very noisy :(

Yeah...with the cost of Noctua fans and a 6-year warranty, I'd definitely give them a call and see what they can do for you. My P12/P14s don't make any noise beyond air woosh.

Post your HTPC builds!

Mine's a bit different. The HTPC itself is a cheapo Acer Aspire from Futureshop, (AX1430-ER20P), to which I added an HVR-2250, 4GB of decent heatsinked RAM I had lying about, and I strapped a quiet 120mm fan to the grill for good measure. Storage is on a Synology DS410 and view downstairs on...

Not happy with Coolermaster 212+ Evo

Yup. With so much intake, that exhaust fan is pretty much just getting in the way -- the hot air is going to go out due to positive pressure anyway.

which 2TB drive for NAS?

I have four Seagate Green 2TB's (ST2000DL003) in my NAS as they were the cheapest at the time (pre-flood). They've held up pretty well and I have no complaints.

Worth upgrading to Phenom II X4-975 or 1100T?

As the others have said, you'll see an improvement from a Phenom II 955 or faster quad. But I wouldn't throw more than $100 at it.

2nd link appears to be the base model. 1st link is a "TOP" model; these have a higher factory overclock and may be better binned. 3rd link is the same as the 1st, but with 2GB RAM. 4th link is a special edition with more cores, slightly more memory, but lower stock-570 clocks. I'd go for...

Worth upgrading CF HD6870 1GB cards?

I wouldn't upgrade at this time. (I'm not; I'm running 6850CF on 5760x1080). Just turn some stuff down if necessary, and wait until a single mid-range (and more importantly mid-price!) card will perform as well or better as your current CF.
