Is 80MPH to fast too drive on a freeway?

I live in the middle of Atlanta where I-75/I-85 is 8 lanes wide, busy as hell, and has a max speed limit of 55. If you drive @ 55, 65, or even 70 most of the time you get run over. Normal traffic flows about 75mph here, so 80 really isn't a big deal as long as you're not passing people, your car...

Laptop HD in desktop? Adapter kit?

Fry's looks like it also has a cheap USB enclosure this week (~$10). Honestly that's what I would do since a) external cases are easier to work with if you're only hooking it up for a short period and b) if you're not used to working with live, exposed components it gives a lot more peace of mind.

ASUS K8N-E Deluxe and a Plextor SATA DVDRW

So I've had my Plextor px712sa for awhile now, and until 5 minutes ago I was pretty unimpressed. I had tried the nVidia SATA controller on both my old K8V and my current K8N-e Deluxe and CPU usage would always go to max whenever using it. Max read was around 4mb/sec, and when writing nero would...

Thin HSF for a Newcastle?

bait- I do have C&Q enabled, and @ idle it usually sits around 3500rpm and 35C. I didn't know about those controllers for it, so I'll take a good look at those. Sounds like a QCE solution... Thanks! 2kfire- hmm those are interesting! i can't believe they're only 15mm :Q the thing that scares...

Bait- hmmm that Silent 939 isn't bad, but it's a tid bit more expensive than I was hoping to find. So far thats best option i've seen. Shadowknight-I wish that something like that w/ a 92mm would fit :( still very open to suggestions..

Thin HSF for a Newcastle?

From the board to the top of the HSF is ~60mm. So subtract a couple for the socket and a couple for the chip I would say ~55mm.

Thin HSF for a Newcastle?

Is there such a thing? I'm tired of listening to the stock cooler on my Athlon64 2800+, but the case that I'm using has a VERY short clearance for the cpu cooler because of where the PSU sits. I've been hunting around on Newegg, but I can't seem to find anything that's the same height or shorter...

It's over and done, we both left positive feedback and i'm just glad to be done with it. I think we both learned our lessons here. So learn vicariously: sellers-make for CERTAIN that your item is listed in the CORRECT category, and buyers- read the descriptions and ask questions if you're not...

I now realize my mistake but it is nice to know that the whole world does not believe it is 100% entirely my fault... I've learned my lesson about clarity and its nice to have a group of people that will give you a straight up "you're an asshole, but no hard feelings" kind of response if need be...

Yes we "damn sellers" have a hard time of sticking stuff in the right categories from time to time :) I had sold a couple laptop drives before and the "hard drive lot" category was all I looked @ when I was choosing the category from the dropdown list of previously used categories. Yes my fault...
