Clean install is generally nicer. Just make sure you have at least networking drivers downloaded (or a way to get them) just in case windows doesn't auto-install them (though win 7 is generally pretty good about this).
Also, if you have office installed (or don't know your windows key) I'd get...
Do the two user accounts on the different computers have the same name. If some it may be trying to log on to the remote machine using local credentials. You can try setting the remote machine as the logon domain by typing
Username: <remote IP or Hostname>\User
i.e. Username: 192.168.0.8\Jim...
PS. My first thought is that it is the non-american notation (so it would be 2.15 in american), but everything else on the computer uses the American standard, so I didn't think that was the case.
Hello all,
I'm trying to determine if a power supply is going to work with a netbook. I don't have a lot of electrical knowledge so this has me stumped.
The adapter says it's output is 10-20V and 3.0A
The laptop says the input should be 19V and 2,15A
I have no idea what 2,15A means...
In most magnetic stripe cards, the magnetic stripe is contained in a plastic-like film. The magnetic stripe is located 0.223 inches (5.56 mm) from the edge of the card, and is 0.375 inches (9.52 mm) wide. The magnetic stripe contains three tracks, each 0.110 inches (2.79 mm) wide. Tracks one and...
There's a difference between "pointing out" and "complaining about".
Here's an example of complaining.
Note the apparent lack of detail of the current problem, lack of discussion of possible (current or future) alternatives - complete with pros/cons of each, the lack of anything that would...
well thats good, how bout an industrial complex? Cus that's what you're looking at to make a core memory storage device with a usable capacity (with a bit density less than 500/sq in). My point is that there is reason we moved to Disk based storage, the loss of random access time is greatly (as...
Hell yea! Think of all the time the low access time would save us when combined with the extreme heat sensitivity, low bandwidth, high power and large physical size!
Where did you get that date from? I read the articles on their nanophotonics research but I can't find anything about products this year. In fact, the articles make it seem like they are in a very early prototype stage.
You clearly misunderstand the principle of supply and demand. No home user has the need to print pages that fast (make sure you differentiate *need* here from *some idiot that would buy one if it were available*). This creates an incredibly small market to sell to. Given the likely very high...
If you read Puget's report on their mineral oil project they make note of that. The fans all burnt out after awhile due to the resistance (mechanical) from the mineral oil; so it didn't make much of a difference in the long run.
What do you mean exactly? The article talks about malware infecting the hypervisor... The hypervisor is just an OS that is optimized to run virtual machines. Not sure how an OS getting infected is anything new.
You could try, but it probably won't do you any good. You indicate that the battery was failing, and it is possible for a bad battery to prevent a computer from booting.
IMHO replace the battery; or the whole thing.
