Main benifits of a Virtual Machine?

Add Deployment. You can configure a system/software and then give the "file" to the end user and it's ready to go.

True power usage of Power compact fluorescent lights?

I used to keep a reef. Tons of light are great for keeping coral, especially SPS. I used more than 1KW on my 90 gallon and was able to grow coral and harvest it. Clams also grew huge under the light. To get that kind of light you probably won't be able to use flourescent bulbs.

Enabling AHCI after Vista install

For those of you who have gone back and switch ahci on, did you notice any difference? I recently installed Windows 7 with ahci off in the bios so I'm debating if it is worth the effort.

How do programmers and database engineers remember/track everything?

Self documenting code is a good direction. Also, nobody reads documents and the get out of date quickly.

Upgrade suggestions

The mobo is the Gigabyte GA-EP35C with a single PCIx16 slot. MW2 does well native at 2x AA, at 4X its dropping below optimum. I read that BC2 was going to be demanding. Thanks for the replies.

looking for notebook for developer

I've been looking at the i7 mobile laptops for software development and gaming. All of the i7 mobile laptops that I have seen lean towards gaming and have horrible battery times (1hr or less). I like the i7 mobile quad since it should improve compile times. I'm not sure that it is necessary...
