Just spent freaking $400 on this InWin D-Frame case. I'm insane.. i know.. but I've been drooling over it for such a long time, that I finally just bit the bullet and got it. It's a BEAST! and it's a bit heavier then I expected. Special Edition with only 500 made. I got #304.
IF anyone is interested, i just bought this stand from Walmart.com for $40. It tilts, rotates, height adjustable, and looks to be very well built. This is mounted on the Crossover 27Q (which does none of those things)

Well.. i just bought a Sony Vaio VGN-FW448JB with a T6500 cpu, and just finished the transplant of my old P8600 cpu from my Dell Inspiron 1545, and can confirm that IT WORKS.
let's say i get an HP laptop with a Core2Duo T Series CPU, and i want to upgrade it to a P series. Is it as simple as opening up the laptop, popping off the cpu, and replacing it? most laptops nowadays don't permanently affix the cpu's anymore do they?

i just did a light wetsanding just to rough up the surface so the new paint has something to adhere to. just used simple 2000 grit sandpaper. and yeah.. those paint are in small 100ml cans and you can find em at hobby shops.

as for painting everything.. i disassembled it, sanded everything down, and painted it using Tamiya Gunmetal TS-38 paint and used Testors Dullcote 1260 for the flat look.
