This laptop has got some good reviews on amazon and slickdealers. There's an additional 10% off if you're a student. No optical drive, maybe you can get an external one.

So far the Acer S7, Dell XPS12 are refreshed with Haswell, same old body and weight... Yoga, Taichi and Asus Zenbooks will probably follow suit. I'm sure the thin stuff will come later in the year.
The haswell notebook news releases have been a big disappointment so far. Manufacturers are releasing new notebooks with the same old body as last year. Same weight, a factional gain in speed and power... nothing new. I'm sure there will be detachable hybrids later this year through next...
Hey custom builders. Does anybody need an AXISadapter by ShinJN (from SRK). I bought 4 from him a couple of weeks ago and have 1 extra. I'm just looking to recoup the cost, which is $25 for Package C. Local pickup in the LA/OC area or your method of shipping (you pay). let me know...

Hey, I'm done with this topic. This was more of an FYI. I was willing to take the 15% restocking fee hit and never shop at Amazon again... anyway, they came through by offering a full refund. Rest assured, I will never buy a high end item (especially notebooks) from them again.
I just...
I called them twice and twice the person I spoke to could not help me because it was an expensive computer item. They forwarded an e-mail to the pc department both times. The next step is for me to wait for somebody to contact me via email. That made it even more difficult.
