Hard drive removal problem

I have 3 hard drives in my computer currently, a 20gb maxtor IDE(used for booting and applications), a 200gb maxtor IDE(was used for everything else), and the newest addition is a 320gb WD SATAII. The sata2 drive replaced the 200gb maxtor. I also have 2 windows XP installations, one is located...

SUMMER IS HERE!!

my cpu is fine, but my gpu is really hot especially with summer. idle its about 40C in the winter and 53C right now. I was benching yesterday and it got up to 105C. Might as well get a grill and make some burgers. (its an X800XL btw)

CPU effects on games, I disagree.

As far as measurable fps goes a faster CPU can have a big effect. I think that as far as playablility it makes no difference unless you go from the extremely low end to the extremely high end. I have a socket A sempron at 1.75ghz or 2.1ghz, depending on if I am gaming or not. When I put my...

Great deal free hd ps3 gaming system

These sites do actually work. But by the time you finish all of the offers and get the gift sent to you, you realize that it wasn't free and that it would have been 1000 times easier to go and buy it.

Overclocking a Barton 3000+

Pencil mod is a good thing for overclocking XPs as long as you unlock the multi too. too bad pencil just doesn't cut it, need to find something more permanent.

Socket A Bridge mod

Where could I get conductive paint? would I have to order it online or would any retail chains have it. Also I am sure that it unlocks as I did it but only with pencil and as you indicated, it wasn't reliable and no longer works.

Don't know how to pick a mobo for Intel D 920

I know the AGP requirement is gone but some socket 775 865 boards support the new presler with just a bios update. If you consider an 865 board you should look at the CPU support list and what new bioses there are before you buy it.

The case looks alright for the price, but I dont like rebates. If Nashua has them I might get one because I couldn't find any in salem and their not helpful there.(In NH btw)

Which one is right?

Pentium D 820 Smithfield or Athlon 64 3800 X2?

I was looking at getting an 820 because i cant afford an X2 and that seems like the thing to do. If you can afford an X2 than thats the way to go based on performance and heat. As far as random bidding goes my friends dad did that and ended up with a corvette
