1. This PC will be used for gaming on high-ultra high settings.
2. $1400-1600 price range
3. Buying from US
4. No brand preference, but I heard Intel processors are much better these days than AMD.
5. Not using any past parts.
6. Could not find any similar threads around black...
Well the item in question is a laptop, so they're not the easiest to fix if something goes wrong, not to mention if accidental damage happens. For all desktop parts I wouldn't get extended warranties at all, but that's because those can easily be replaced whereas laptop parts may not be the case.
Hey, I'm looking to buy this laptop:

and I'm wondering how good the offered Service Net warranties are compared to the manufacturer's? I can't compare them since apparently you actually need the product's serial number to even access the...
Alright I ordered a new HDD, just because that would be the simplest solution to a problem that's been plaguing me for a few weeks.
I'm wondering what would be the exact problem of my old HD? I reinstalled win 7 about 4 times already, each time the PC would work perfectly for about 1-2 days...
Yeah I tried that, no luck. I reformatted about a week ago, PC worked flawlessly for about 4-5 days, now I'm getting the same problem.
I got HD Tune, and I'm not sure how to interpret this health tab:

Planning to reformat tommorow, except try 32-bit...
Ok I tried the SFC / Scannow thing in CMD, and in the log I had a huge amount of files that could not be repaired, probably 100+.
How would I go about fixing this?
Only one person said it's not true, and you just quoted him with a smiley face, neither of you even backed up why it wasn't true, so I took his word for it.
The other person just had a story about his friend without explaining anything technical.
Alright thanks for the responses, was just wondering the point of getting a monitor instead of a tv if the tv is cheaper + has a tv tuner built in, but I guess Seero's response sheds a lot of light on that.
I eventually ordered this:

Also I'm not exactly understanding the specs between these three monitors, such as the different types of contrast ratios.

Since I found a tv that's $90 cheaper than it's monitor equivalent, with somewhat similar specifications.
